Administration Assistant

Permanent Part-time – 14 hours per week – Surry Hills

Jericho Road is the mercy ministry arm of the Presbyterian Church in NSW and is committed to providing for those who are in need, in a way that seeks justice, shows mercy and makes Jesus known. As part of this provision Jericho Road oversees the Conduct Protocol Unit which provides individuals, congregations, presbyteries, organisations, and committees with the best possible support, advice and resources in relation to safe ministry and abuse matters.

We are seeking an Administration Assistant to assist the Director with the development, delivery, management and review of CPU administration priorities, maintaining databases, supporting pastoral charges, managing compliance, internal auditing and other administrative duties.

Behaviour Support Practitioner

Allowah Presbyterian Children’s Hospital

We are creating a new position at Allowah Presbyterian Children’s Hospital. This would be a great opportunity for someone with the right qualifications and experience to join a wonderful team and make a great difference.
 

Our Behaviour Support Practitioner will facilitate the provision of NDIS supports to clients and to provide in-house support for Allowah with regard to compliance with behaviour support and restrictive practice requirements. This will include:

  • Assisting individuals and their families to identify their behaviour support needs through assessment and individual planning, to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies to meet their goals in their home and community.
  • Working in a multi/trans-disciplinary model with a range of allied health professionals to provide a holistic and integrated approach to supports.
  • Providing clinical advice, training and guidance to individuals, families, hospital and support staff
    Developing strong collaborative relationships with government and non-government service providers for ongoing support.

 
What will you bring to the role?

  • Recognised qualification in Psychology or equivalent qualification with relevant experience in behaviour support
  • Ability to provide services as a Positive Behaviour Support Specialist with NDIS
  • Membership of the relevant Australian professional association
  • Minimum two years’ experience in the delivery of behaviour support
  • Effective interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across diverse groups
  • Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions as required for patient/client care
  • Ability to be flexible and creative in the planning and delivery of patient/client care
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Time management and ability to prioritise
  • Experience working with children with special needs and /or chronic illness and advantage
  • A National Police Record Check that is less than 6 months old
  • A Working with Children Check
