In-house Training

Some churches may choose to run the BTS Foundations training. This sort of session would typically be run by a minister or BTS Rep. Before running a training session, there are a few things you need to do.

  1. Obtain the training material from CPU – Contact Elissa for this.
  2. Familiarise yourself with the content. You need to know what you’re talking about and may be asked some tricky questions during the training, so make sure you’ve got a good handle on the content.
  3. Ensure you have the necessary facilities to run training. You’ll need a way to play some video and audio. There will be times where attendees will need to get into small groups to discuss, so ensure your space can accomodate that.
  4. Print a training workbook for each attendee.
  5. Make sure all participants sign an attendance register to record that they have completed the training.
  6. Send a copy of the attendance register to the CPU at cpu-admin@pcnsw.org.au to ensure the training is recorded in the compliance list for your church.
